A 75 hour program conducted by our professional instructors is all you need to become a Certified Home Health Aide. Our training course satisfies all federal and state requirements and will allow you to work at any skilled or non-skilled home care agency as a Certified Home Health Aide. 4hr. "Med Tech" Medication Assistance Certification
Obtain certification to assist residents with self-administered medications in Florida. When residents can no longer manage their own medicatons in Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) and Home Care settings, they rely on "Med Techs" to assist them. This training course covers all material necessary to allow you to obtain your certification! Open to everyone (no pre-requisites or experience required). The cost for this program is $100. Home Care and Residential Care is one of the fastest growing industries in the nation. Our 4 hour Medication Assistance Course is taught by a Registered Nurse and will give you the skills and certification to obtain an entry level position in healthcare, allowing you to safely care for residents while they remain in the comfort of their home or a residential facility.
Medication aides typically do the following:
Help clients manage their medications by storing, opening, preparing and documenting medications. Orders refills for regularly scheduled medications. Monitors for side effects or adverse events. Communicates observations to healthcare providers.
Medication aides, also known as personal care aides or Home Health Aides typically work for certified home care agencies or residential facilities (ALFs). They may work under the direct supervision of medical professionals, usually registered nurses. These aides keep records of services performed and of clients’ conditions and progress. They report changes in clients’ conditions to supervisors or case managers.
