Nursing CEU Requirements:
Florida CNA's are required to complete 24 in-service hours every 2 years and must include:
- HIV/AIDS, Infection Control
- Domestic Violence
- Medical Record Documentation and Legal Aspects Appropriate to Nursing Assistants

- Communication with Cognitively Impaired Clients
- Medical Error Prevention and Safety

Florida CE Requirements (RN, LPN)
The Florida Board of Nursing requires 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years including 2 hours of medical errors prevention and 2 hours or Florida Laws and Rules. Every third renewal 2 hours of Domestic Violence are required in addition to the 24 hours or general CE.

**Beginning with renewals after August 1, 2017, every Florida nursing professional will be required to complete 2 hours in the subject area of Recognizing Impairment in the Workplace. The 2 hours are required during the first renewal after August 1, 2017, and then every other license period after that.
